# Bad Day

Today I woke up with horrible pain in my head and top of my neck, the right side of my neck feels so stiff and hurts, I am very dizzy any time I move or close my eyes, and the tingling in my face is more pronounced today. Do others have this kind of thing? Yesterday wasn’t bad. I did have a headache which was worse by the end of work. Now today I called in because I feel so unsteady and in a lot of pain. I have just been diagnosed as my symptoms are getting worse so its all so hard to take in.

I am so sorry you are having a bad day!

You are not alone, I had very similar symptoms before surgery. They also came and went. Also the worse the headache, the more accompanying symptoms I had.

Where are you in your journey? Have you seen a NS (Neurosurgeon) that specializes in Chiari yet? Have you had a Cine MRI? Have they checked your spine for a syrinx?

I have seen a neurologist and had my MRI where the Chiari was discovered. I sent my images and report off to a neurosurgeon at the Chiari Mayfield Clinic and should know more next week. I was just diagnosed but have had symptoms that are getting worse for two years now. Every time I brought it up to the doctor I was told its just your thyroid and brushed off. Now looking back and talking with my parents I have had symptoms longer than we realized.
