I am just wondering if anyone had a picc line put in and what can I expect from it?
Having it done today, kinda nervous.
I had to have one because no one can ever get an IV started, and if they finally do the vein blows out with in a few minutes. It really is easier and they don’t have to keep resticking you when IVs malfunction. I even have problems when they try to draw blood for tests. I know it sounds scary, but once it’s done it’s over with, you don’t have to do it again.

My best friend had one for a long time. It was a huge help for her because she had so much trouble getting IVs and such. She said getting it put in wasn't bad! Good luck!
Why the picline? Do you need I.V. meds for a long period of time? What are they putting you on and why? Are you getting worse?
